Busy Air Chief Marshal has first foal arrive

HARAS de la Cauviniere stallion Air Chief Marshal was represented by his first live foal when one of his first-crop mates, Kointreau, delivered a filly on Saturday.

The Desert King mare Kointreau is also dam of last season's Group 3 Prix la Rochette runner-up Mac Row.

The breeder Josée Verkerk said: "I am delighted with this filly. She is correct, well balanced and has great presence with a beautiful head."

Group 3 Minstrel Stakes winner Air Chief Marshal is a Danehill Dancer brother to Misu Bond. He was the busiest first-season sire in France last year with a book of 120 mares.

Air Chief Marshal will be available to view on the La Route des Etalons, a series of open days at Nromandy stud farms, on Saturday and Sunday.
