CHRYSANTHEMUM (4 f Danehill Dancer - Well Spoken by Sadler's Wells)

Bred by Pegasus Breeding Ltd

CHRYSANTHEMUM returned to winning ways in this event, holding off Misty For Me's sister Twirl to win in first time blinkers by a length-and-a-half.

One of 71 Pattern winners by Coolmore's Danehill Dancer, she is the second winner of the race for David Wachman, who sent out Danehill Music to score in 2006. Incidentally, that filly was bred on the same Danehill Dancer - Sadler's Wells cross as Chrysanthemum. The cross has produced six stakes winners in total and all have been fillies, among them Unaccompanied and Salut d'Amour.

Chrysanthemum was bought by John Magnier for €100,000 at the Arqana August Yearling Sale in 2009. She is the first foal out of the winning jumper Well Spoken, a daughter of the unbeaten juvenile and Group 3 Princess Margaret winner Saintly Speech.
