Dam of Dark Angel takes centre stage at Goffs

TAKING centre stage on the second day and for the entire Goffs February Sale was the 16-year-old Machiavellian mare Midnight Angel who was snapped up by Con Marnane for €145,000.

Offered by Knockatrina House, the grey mare was sold in foal to Acclamation and is carryinga full sibling to the Middle Park and Mill Reef Stakes hero Dark Angel.

In addition to that crack juvenile Midnight Angel is the dam of last season’s Mill Reef Stakes runner-up Angel's Pursuit.

Marnane was acting on behalf of Angel's Pursuit's owner Malih Al Basti who bought that horse from Marnane for £190,000 to top last year's Doncaster Breeze-Up Sale.
Shortly afterwards Charlie Mason of Silfield Bloodstock went to €48,000 for Darley's Hearsay.

The winning daughter of Dubai Destination is a half-sister to the French Group 3 winner Do The Honours and the Chesham Stakes heroine Seba.
