Dalakhani colt makes 160,000gns

THE first six-figure sum through the second evening of the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale was given for a Dalakhani colt offered by Hawthorn Villa Stud.

Purchaser Anthony Stroud had to go to 160,000gns to secure the colt, which was led out of same ring in October unsold at 38,000gns.

Out of Mia Mambo, the colt is a half-brother to the dual winner Dancingthemambo. His third dam, Pasadoble, was the dam of Miesque.

It was a second strike for Paddy Twomey of Hawthorn Villa, who sold an Invincible Spirit filly to Jamie MaCalmont on Wednesday  for 220,000gns.

Anthony Stroud bought three lots through the first day for an average price of 141,000gns.
