FORMER top jumping racemare L'Aventure, recently retired from racing, has been sent to Overbury Stud where she will be covered by Kayf Tara.

L'Aventure competed in many of the top staying chases and her finest hour came in 2005 when she won the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow as a six-year-old.

The little mare, who started her career in France with Richard Chotard, was first trained in Britain by Paul Nicholls and joined Nick Williams for the 2008-09 season.

A daughter of the prolific French stallion Cyborg, L'Aventure is out of Amphitrite, a French-bred mare who raced in Switzerland.

Her sire also produced the likes of 1996 Stayers' Hurdle winnerCyborgo, and his brother Hors La Loi III, who took the Champion Hurdle in 2002, along with popular chasers Fondmort and Cyfor Malta.

Overbury Stud's Simon Sweeting said on his blog: "She looks in great shape and as always it is very exciting when mares with that much ability and success arrive."
