Bright start to Daylami's covering season

COOLAGOWN Stud in County Cork has reported a strong start to Daylami's second year at stud in Ireland since being repatriated from South Africa.

The 17-year-old son of Doyoun got 111 mares in foal in 2010 and he has got 15 out of his first 18 mares already scanned
in foal this year.

Mares booked to him this season include half-sisters to Feathard Lady, Mid Dancer, Pandorama and Noland.

Daylami, a seven-time Group 1 winner and half-brother to Dalakhani, has blossomed into a fine source of jumpers.

His progeny include Cheltenham Festival Grade 1-winning hurdlers Ebaziyan and Zaynar, as well as National Hunt stakes winners Ebadiyan, Pigeon Island and Pearl King.

Daylami stands alongside first-crop yearling sire Papal Bull. Both stand at a fee of €5,000 live foal.
