The gelding is the seventh British and Irish winner from the first crop of the deceased Red Clubs. The former Tally-Ho Stud resident now sits in joint second with Dutch Art behind Dark Angel on number of winners on the British and Irish leading first season sires' list.

A 15,000gns foal purchase by Will Edmeades, Gin Rummy was snapped up by his trainer for 20,000gns at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Sale. He was bred in Britain by Robin and Scarlet Knipe out of triple winner Litewska, a daughter of Mujadil from the family of 1,000 Guineas heroine Ma Biche.

Another trainer who has enjoyed his share of bonus success is Richard Hannon, and he sent out his eighth bonus winner of the year when Coupe De Ville justified favouritism in Saturday's 7f maiden at Newmarket.

The son of Clodovil was a €74,000 foal purchase by Grove Stud and resold to Peter Doyle for 82,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Sale. Bred in Ireland by Flor Ryan, he is a half-brother to Listed winner Fantastic Roberto and out of the unraced Fantastic Light mare Fantastic Account.
