Clearance of just 49
per cent at F-T Texas

A CLEARANCE rate of just 49 per cent marred the Fasig-Tipton Texas December Mixed Sale on Monday, at which only 55 of 112 horses offered changing hands.

As a result, total sales for the one-day auction plummeted from $307,900 to $250,400. However, average price increased by 12 per cent to $4,553 while the median leapt by 47 per cent to $2,800.

The sale was topped by Ruby Be Mine, a daughter of Rubiano in foal to Grade 3 winner and first-season sire Chatain who sold for $35,000.

Moon Lake Equine Center purchased the stakes-placed mare, the dam of dual stakes winner Hyper And Saucy.
