Classy list of additions
to Brightwells May sale

IMPRESSIVE point-to-point maiden winner Usuel Smurfer heads a list of nine wild card entries which have been accepted for the Brightwells Cheltenham Evening May Sale on May 25.

Usuel Smurfer, a four-year-old gelding by Loxias, won the 4yo maiden point-to-point at Oldcastle on April 29 by eight lengths. He will be offered from Ballyboy Stables on behalf of Dick Frisby.


Brightwells have also catalogued recent 4yo point-to-point winners Mullaghanoe River, a Beneficial gelding who won the maiden point-to-point at Laurencetown on May 6, and Blackmail, a son of Black Sam Bellamy who won easily at Templemore on April 1.

Also entered is recent six-length Pentreclwydau point-to-point winner Lydstep Point, a five-year-old son of Beat All, and the in-form Island Life, the recent winner of hunter chases at Ludlow and Hereford.
