Classic-placed Decado sold to stand in India

DECADO, a son of Danehill Dancer who finished third behind Araafa in the 2006 Irish 2,000 Guineas, has been sold to stand at Dr Mam Ramaswamy's Chettinad Stud in India.

Out of Pirie, an unraced half-sister to Group 2 winner Fracas, Decado began his career with trainer Kevin Prendergast in Ireland, where he won four races at two to four, including a Group 3 brace in the Tetrarch Stakes and the Keeneland International Stakes.

He was later sold to be trained by Patrick Gallagher in the US, but he failed to reach the frame in four starts there.
