Classic double for Fasig-Tipton graduate Bunting

BLUE BUNTING, a $200,000, 2009 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga graduate who was bought by Anthony Stroud, represents a potent mix of a dynamic US sire with a solid French family.

She is by Three Chimney's sire Dynaformer, whose other progeny include Barbaro in the US and St Leger winner Lucarno in Europe. Blue Bunting's dam, the unraced Linamix mare Miarixa, is out of the Group 1 Prix Saint-Alary third  Mrs Arkada.  Read tomorow's Racing Post results section for the bloodstock analysis of  Blue Bunting and the other  Group winners at The Curragh.

Memories of Oath

Max Morris, the owner of Iverk House Stud in Piltown, County Kilkenny enjoyed a home-bred triumph with Group 3 Kilboy Estates Stakes winner Manieree, who comes from the same family as the Morris-bred 1999 Derby winner Oath.

By the Cheveley Park Stud stallion Medicean, Manieree is out of a half-sister to Oath.

Versatility of Dansili

Angelsey  Stakes winner Fire Lily offered a further advertisement for the  high-class versatility of her sire Dansili, whose other Group race scorers this season include Famous Name, Dandino, and Delegator.

Fire Lily comes from a Kilfrush Stud-developed family that includes this year's French 1,000 Guineas and Oaks-placed  Glorious Sight and traces to that of Last Tycoon.
