Camacho son Star Rover now two from two

STAR ROVER, Camacho's first-ever winner followed up his Kempton succes on Tuesday at Nottingham taking the EBF Novice Stakes under Paul Doe.

Bought for €18,000 at Tattersalls Ireland September Sale by trainer David Evans, the colt is out of the Pips Pride mare Charlene Lacy, who won the Brocklesby in 1998.

It was a race won by the trainer last year with She's A Shaw Thing, who, like Star Rover, followed up after a clear-cut maiden win.

Star Rover once again edged left under pressure in the closing stages, and as a result a left-handed track should suit him, with the Lily Agnes looking a suitable target.
