Chaparral has chance to enter top 10 in sires list

HIGH CHAPARRAL, who leads the Australian sires'  table in prize-money but liesonly 23rd in the UK and Irish rankings, is set for a pivotal four hours of stakes race runners today that starts in Singapore and concludes at Longchamp via The Curragh.

Represented by Wigmore Hall in the Group 1Singapore Airlines International Cup at Kranji, High Chaparral is also sire of the New Zealand-bred So You Think, hot favourite for the Group 1 Tattersals Gold Cup at The Curragh, a race whose first place prize-money of €130,200 would comfortably take the son of Sadler's Wells into the top 10.

High Chaparral is also represented by Parkers Mill in the Group 3 Airlie Stud Gallinule Stakes and by Le Larron in the Prix Vicomtesse Vigier at Longchamp.

An even busier day for fellow Coolmore sire Danehill Dancer also starts at Kranji when outsider Risky Business takes on Wigmore Hall.

Alexander Pope and Sapphire Pendant represent him in the Gallinule, while the sire of this year's Ganay winnerPlanteur has four runners in the Etihad Airways Irish 1,000 Guineas: Chrysanthemum, Look At Me, Rose Bonheur, and Wild Wind.
