Champion Court on the way to a Grade 2 novice hurdle win at Cheltenham

Fees fixed for Kalanisi and Court Cave

BOARDSMILL STUD has kept fees for its stallions Kalanisi and Court Cave unchanged for 2011.

Kalanisi, sire of Champion Hurdle winner Katchit, was fully booked in 2010, and will cover at €5,000, with Court Cave's again offered at €1,500. Both sires will cover strictly limited books of mares.

By Doyoun, Kalanisi is also the sire of Grade 1-winning hurdler Barizan. His five-year-old son and former smart hurdler Simarian won a novice chase at Cartmel on his latest start, while the fellow Evan Williams-trained Sheshali has also won a novice chase this season.

Court Cave, by Sadler's Wells, is an unraced brother to Beat Hollow, a four-time Group/Grade 1 winner including the Grand Prix de Paris and was third in the Epsom Derby.

His first crop is five and includes Grade 2 novice hurdle winner Champion Court and the Grade 2-placed Whodoyouthink, who was fourth to Dunguib in the Grade 1 Deloitte Novice Hurdle in February. With over 80 mares covered by Court Cave this year, his 2010 book was his largest to date.
