Chachamaidee dam in stellar Fasig catalogue

THE dams of Chachamaidee and Dubawi Heights feature among 27 Grade 1 winners or producers catalogued by Fasig-Tipton for its November sale on November 5.

Eaton Sales will offer Canterbury Lace, a Danehill half-sister to Virginia Waters who is the dam of Matron Stakes winner Chachamaidee.

She is offered in foal to Giant's Causeway, the father of Chachamaidee's sire Footstepsinthesand.

Buckinghamshire operation Aston Mullins Stud is consigning to the sale Rosie's Posy, a Suave Dancer half-sister to Tante Rose who produced Gamely Stakes and Yellow Ribbon Stakes winner Dubawi Heights. She is in foal to Oasis Dream.

A total of 180 horses have been consigned to the boutique sale, which could be the scene of fireworks, as last year's US horse of the year Havre De Grace is catalogued, as previously reported.

Also included in the catalogue are champion female sprinter Musical Romance and the dams of I'll Have Another and Bodemeister. Some 58 foals are also due to come under the hammer.

"This sale has established itself as a can't-miss event for the international thoroughbred community, and we expect to attract buyers from many parts of the world with this stellar catalogue," said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning.

"You will rarely find, in one place and at one time, such a concentration of pedigrees and high quality race or production records."
