Exciting bumper winner among DBS additions

A SUPPLEMENTARY catalogue of 11 horses has been added to the DBS August Sales on August 2 and 3.

Headlining the additional entries is Caught In The Act, a one-and-a-half length winner of a bumper at Newton Abbot on his debut for Grant Cann this month.

The four-year-old Overbury gelding is a half-brother to point-to-point winner Inverglen from the further family of high-class chaser Oodachee and Ascot Gold Cup hero Classic Cliche.

Offered by Cann's Newlands Farm, Caught In The Act goes through the ring as lot 346.

Other supplementary entries include bumper runner-up Dr Tommy (172A), bumper third Tregaro (205) and bumper winner Elsafeer (207).

Moyglare Stud consigns A Word Apart (308), a Desert Style half-brother to Casual Conquest who won a Leopardstown maiden at two last year.

Also entered is Deny, a three-year-old gelding son of Mr Greeley and Sulk (321), a three-year-old Overbury filly out of Listed-placed chaser Just Jasmine (342) and unraced Karinga Dandy (347), a Karinga Bay gelding from the family of Hallo Dandy.

The supplementary entries are completed by Irish point-to-point placed Willies Yard (371), bumper-placed Rhinestone Rebel (372) and winning hurdler and chaser Five Out Of Five (373).

DBS managing director Henry Beeby said: "Recent form is always well received when coming under the hammer at DBS and we are excited by the fact that these extra entries will enhance what is already a high-class catalogue and offers more options for every buyer at the DBS August Sales.

"The sale already includes a number of exciting flat drafts from the likes of Moyglare Stud, Juddmonte, Shadwell and Darley, whose draft includes large number of well bred fillies.

"Bumper form is highlighted by the likes of Tahrir Square, a winner on his only start, whilst the George Ward and Gigginstown House drafts offer more National Hunt prospects for sale.

"These are complemented by horses with proven form under both codes and we are confident that this sale will offer something for every purchaser looking for racing or breeding prospects under both codes."
