Kitten's Joy fee reduced

RAMSEY FARM in the US has reduced its stud fees for the 2009 breeding season for Kitten's Joy and Catienus, both of whom stand at the stud's Nicholasville Farm.

Multiple Grade 1 winner Kitten's Joy (El Prado-Kitten's First, by Lear Fan) was the 2004 champion grass horse and will stand for $20,000, a reduction of $10,000 on his 2008 fee.

The Storm Cat stallion Catienus will stand for $10,000 in 2009 down from his 2008 fee of $15,000. He is the sire of Grade 1 winner Precious Kitten, Grade 1 winner Dawn Of War and multiple Grade 1 placed stakes winner Talent Search.

Ramsey manager Mark Partridge said: "Our two stallions reflect great value for breeders and we support both of them strongly with our best mares. We reduced fees for both of them to show support for breeders."
