Cape Cross mare Mont Fleuri hits Inglis heights

CAPE CROSS' daughter Mont Fleurireached the highest price on the closing day of the Inglis weanling and bloodstock auction, selling for Aus$180,000 (£118,460/€133,474) , a considerable chunk of the day's Aus$605,700 gross.

Selling over  the three days passed the Aus$5.8 million mark.

"This sale has only been going a few short years but has quickly developed into a good marketplace. Buyers have told us they appreciate seeing weanlings offered at this timeof year, giving them a little more time to develop," said Inglis bloodstock director Jonathan D'Arcy.

Mont Fleuri is winner of four races and was placed in the  Group 3 Thousand Guineas Prelude.
