Breeder: Henri Poulat in France

BIG BUCK'S once again demonstrated that he is in a league of his own when it comes to the staying hurdle division, with an imperious dismissal of his rivals in Wednesday's rescheduled LongWalk Hurdle.

The Paul Nicholls-trained gelding cruised home six lengths clear of Lough Derg in a fog covered Newbury to record his tenth victory on the trot and his fifth at the highest level.

Bred by Henri Poulat in France, Big Buck's is a son of the brilliant French jumps sire Cadoudal, also the sire of Long Run, Fadalko and Lacdoudal.

The son of Green Dancer is also represented by several exciting sons at stud including Indian River, Robin Des Pres and Saint Des Saints.

Big Buck's is a brother to Buck's Boum, runner-up to Long Run in a Grade 1 hurdle in France at three, and out of a sister to the smart French jumpers Buck's Dream and Buck's Glory.

The dam, Buck's, is arguably the most significant offspring of Japan Cup and Washington International winner Le Glorieux, who died in August aged 26.
