Debut bumper winner catalogued to Brightwells

BALTIMORE Rock, who was the impressive winner of his bumper debut at Bangor-On-Dee on Wednesday, has been catalogued as a wild card entry to the Brightwells National Hunt Breeze-up and Horses in Training Sale at Cheltenham on Friday.

The son of Tiger Hill is set to sell out of Peter Niven's yard as lot 49A.

Baltimore Rock was the only three-year-old in a field of eight at Bangor but he travelled smoothly to hit the front two furlongs out and drew clear to win by five lengths. Following the race, Niven commented: "Baltimore Rock was the only three-year-old in the field and he´s a nice young horse who showed a good turn of foot."

Baltimore Rock is a half-brother to triple winner Lifetime and out of Listed scorer La Vita E Bella, by Definite Article.

The 80-strong sale takes place at Cheltenham from 5pm on Friday. All breeze-up entries will breeze on the racecourse from 8.30am.
