Big Buck's brother breaks duck at Auteuil

Buck's Boum, a full-brother to Paul Nicholls' Mildmay Novices' Chase winner Big Buck's, got off the mark in the Prix de Grenoble,a three-year-old hurdle race at Auteuil, on Wednesday.

Having his fourth career start, the son of Cadoudal won by two and a half lengths in very soft going. The colt ran in the colours of his breeder Henri Poulat, who also owned Big Buck's until he was sold privately to race for Andy Stewart in the UK.

Big Buck's finished fourth behind Good Bye Simon in the 2006 renewal of the Prix de Grenoble, and subsequently finished second to the same horse in France's championship race for four-year-old hurdlers the following June.
