Workforce half-brother wins at Chepstow

CHEPSTOW on Saturday saw a Rock Of Gibraltar half-brother to Derby and Arc hero Workforce take the 3m Bet365 Handicap Hurdle. Extreme Impact, a five-year-old gelding, was bred by Juddmonte Farms and is trained by Evan Williams.

It was a second win at the Monmouthshire venue for Extreme Impacy, who scored there over hurdles as a four-year-old. His trainer paid 10,000gns for him at the Tattersalls October Horses In Training sale following two third-placed runs on the Flat in Ireland.

His dam, Soviet Moon, is a sister to Racing Post Trophy and St Leger winner Brian Boru, now a promisingjumps sire for Coolmore. The pair are by Sadler's Wells out of Park Hill Stakes winner Eva Luna.

From the same family is Champion Bumper hope Cinders And Ashes, who is by Beat Hollow out of Moon Search, a daughter of Rainbow Quest and Eva Luna.
