Breeze-up Bonus Scheme website goes live

A NEW website for the Breeze-up Bonus Scheme has been launched.

The scheme, which is the first joint initiative by British Bloodstock Marketing and Irish Thoroughbred Marketing, provides a prize fund of £500,000 to reward graduates from this year's European breeze-up sales with a bonus of either £10,000 or £5,000 when they win their first two-year-old race.

The Breeze-up Bonus has been funded by vendors and sales companies, and horses who have been nominated for any of the seven breeze-up sales in the UK, Ireland and France thisyear are eligible to win a share of the pool.

Features of the new website include full terms and conditions of the scheme, an explanation of breeze-up sales for the uninitiated, details of this year's sales, useful contacts and a pagewhere information about each eventual bonus winner will be listed.

ITM marketing manager Eamonn Cullen said: "This is a really innovative scheme and is a great example of what an industry can do to help itself in difficult times.

"The organisers should be commended for putting it all together in a short space of time and it is also great to see co-operation between ITM and BBM, as both the Irish and British markets are dependent on each other in so many ways."
