TBA lectures on breeding
to begin in February

THE Thoroughbred Breeders' Association has issued details of lectures on breeding that will be held from next month.

Reproduction: Pregnancy to Foaling is an evening lecture that will take place on Wednesday, February 4, at The Royal Veterinary College's Hawkshead Campus at North Mymms in Hertfordshire.

The lecture starts at 7.30pm with refreshments available from 7.00pm. Tickets cost £10 per person and further details are avaiable from the Royal Veterinary College's continuing professional development unit on 01707 666865,  email

The National Stud Evening Lecture Programme 2009 is a twice weekly series of 37 lectures on the subject of thoroughbred breeding.

Topics covered include the reproductivecycle of the mare, the role of the bloodstock agent and care of the foaling mare.

The lectures will be held at the British Racing School in Newmarket on weekday nights between February and June. The fee for attending the full series of lectures is £263, and individual lectures can be attended at £20 each.
