Aqlaam to stand at Nunnery Stud in 2010

LAST month's Prix du Moulin winner Aqlaam will begin his stallion career next year at his owner Hamdan Al Maktoum's Nunnery Stud in Norfolk.

The four-year-old will become one of the first sons of red-hot young sire Oasis Dream - who provided the 700,000gns sale-topper at this week's Tattersalls October Book 1 yearling sale - to take up stud duties.

Angus Gold, racing manager to Sheikh Hamdan, said: "Aqlaam has a lovely attitude, plenty of speed, and did incredibly well considering his injuries."

His fee, along with those for the other stallions on the Shadwell roster, will be announced later in the year.
