Distorted Humor unchanged at $100,000

DISTORTED Humor, sire of this season's Belmont Stakes winner Drosselmeyer, will again be available to breeders at $100,000 next season. The WinStar Farm resident covered 127 mares this year at that figure, which was a significant decrease on the $225,000 he commanded in 2009.

Speightstown, who was represented by Grade 1 winners Haynesfield and Mona De Moma in 2010, is the only stallion at WinStar toenjoy a fee increase. He jumps from $30,000 to $50,000.

As previously reported, Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver will stand his first season at $20,000 while a fee of $6,000 has been set for the Grade 1-placed Hold Me Back.

"WinStar Farm stallions have enjoyed another successful year across the board, and we're excited about the future, especially with the additions of Hold Me Back and Super Saver," said Robert Hammond, Director of Bloodstock and Stallion Seasons at WinStar.

"Our 2011 roster is as strong and wide-ranging as it's ever been. There is truly something for every breeder, and we look forward to working with all breeders, local and regional, again this upcoming season."

A ten per cent discount will apply to all fees bar Speightstown if paid on or before November 1.
