Bluebloods on show at Leopardstown tonight

RACEGOERS at Leopardstown will have the chance to view a host of bluebloods, some of whom will be destined to go on to better things, when racing gets underway tonight.

The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at 4.25pm, which is run over 1m2f for three-year-old fillies, has attracted 11 entries. Three hail from the Aidan O'Brien stable led by Along, a Smart Strike half-sister to Oaks runner-up Wonder Of Wonders. She is out another Oaks runner-up in All Too Beautiful, a sister to Galileo and half-sister to Sea The Stars.


Betterbetterbetter, a daughter of Galileo, is the latest progeny out of Jude, the dam of Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Yesterday among others, to hit the track while Seducing, another daughterof Galileo, is a half-sister to 1,000 Guineas and Oaks scorer Kazzia.

Street Cry is the sire of two entries; Jessica Harrington's Dane Street is a half-sister to Dewhurst Stakes winner Intense Focus and Dermot Weld's Princess Highway is a daughter of 2002 Ribblesdale Stakes heroine Irresistible Jewel. Weld also saddles French Hen, an English Channel half-sister to last season's top filly Blue Bunting.

O'Brien's entries in the following 1m2f colts maiden are led by Chicago, a 360,000gns three-parts brother to recent Meydan Group 2 winner Mikhail Glinka.
