Big Zeb lands a huge prize for his breeder

OSCAR struck for his second winner on the card when Big Zeb caused an upset in the Queen Mother Champion Chase.

Bred by Lyle Buttimer, Big Zeb is out of Our Siveen, a daughter of the legendary Deep Run. Our Siveen was bought privately from her breeder David Magnier for Ir£7,500 in 1989.

Buttimer, who runs a farm in Fermoy, County Cork, only keeps a handful of mares but has also bred Cork Grand National winner Penny Hall.

He sold  Big Zeb as a foal for just Ir£2,400 at Tattersalls Ireland in 2001. BigZeb was then bought by his current owner Patrick Redmond for €34,000 at Goffs in June 2004.
