Bids hard to come
by at Tattersalls
AN hour into trading at the Tattersalls February Sale and only 13 horses are listed as sold headed by a 16,000gns unnamed three-year-old daughter of High Chaparral who was knocked down to the BBA Ireland.
Tattersalls are in the unusual position of having more horses fail to realise the minimum bid of 800gns - 14 so far - than actually changing hands.
But even though there are more people in the buffet room than the sale ring, there was a flurry of action when Collection's half-sister Dapple Dawn (34) entered the ring. However, the daughter of Celtic Swing, who is believed to be in foal to Rock Of Gibraltar, was led out unsold at 25,000gns.
