Big Bad Bob scores Group 3 winner

Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Brownstown Stakes (Group 3), Fairyhouse, 7f

BERG BAHN (Big Bad Bob - Ski For Me by Barathea)

Breeder: Windflower Overseas Holdings Inc

BERG BAHN gave Big Bad Bob a first black-type winner as a sire when landing the Brownstown Stakes at Fairyhouse on Wednesday.

The filly, trained by Ger Lyons, cost just £1,600 as a yearling from the Tattersalls Ireland December Flat Sale. Her dam, Ski For Me, has now bred three winning juveniles from four runners.

A daughter of Barathea, Ski For Me was herself a 1m winner at two on heavy ground.

Berg Bahn continues the blistering run of form for owner-breeder Cristina Patino and her Windfloer Overseas Holdings and Anamoine breeding operations.

Patino also owned and bred Oaks winner Snow Fairy - who hails from the same family as Big Bad Bob, as they both descend from Patino's taproot mare Gay Fantasy.

Other recent top horses to carry Patino's silks include half-brothers Elusive Pimpernel and Palavicini.
