Barefoot Lady to sell
at Goffs in November

BAREFOOT Lady, who was saddled by Richard Fahey to win the Group 2 Canadian Stakes at Woodbine in Canada on Sunday, will be offered at the Goffs November Breeding Stock Sale later this year.

Prior to that, Helen and Norman Steel's four-year-old daughter of Footstepsinthesand is likely to line up in next month's Group 1 E P Taylor Stakes, also at Woodbine.

Purchased by Gill Richardson for €30,000 at the 2010 Goresbridge Breeze-up Sale, Barefoot Lady has won five of 19 starts and over £280,000 in prize-money. A dual winner and Group 3-placed at two, she progressed at three to win the Nell Gwyn Stakes and run a narrow second to Joviality in the Musidora Stakes. She was also third in the Coronation Stakes and fourth in the Matron Stakes.

This season, she has finished in the frame in six of seven starts, one of the highlights coming when she was successful in the Listed Lyric Fillies' Stakes at York in July.

Entries are now closing for the Goffs November Sale, which in 2011 saw the highest price paid in Europe for a filly out of training when Banimpire sold for €2.3 million to Oceanic Bloodstock.
