Bahamian Bounty colts popular at Tattersalls

TWO colts by Bahamian Bounty have provided high points of this morning's trade in the opening session of the Tattersalls December foal sale.

There was plenty of interest in the ring for lot 349, a Bahamian Bounty colt who was sold for 35,000gns to Ballyphilip Stud.

The strong-looking chestnut, who was offered by Houghton Bloodstock, has plenty of speed in his immediate pedigree.

His dam Intellibet One won three races including her debut at Lingfield, with all her victories coming over 5-6f, and she has produced the three-year-old Taurus Twins, successful four times over 5-6f this season for Richard Price.

Bahamian Bounty is the sire of brothers Pastoral Pursuits and Goodricke, both Group 1-winning sprinters and now sires themselves.

Another of his sons, this one consigned by Broughton Bloodstock and out of the triple winner Broughtons Revival, was knocked down to Mark Dwyer for 30,000gns.

The dam, a daughter of Pivotal, was a fair handicapper for Willie Musson and won over 1m4f to 1m6f. This isher first foal.
