The four-year-old filly, a €90,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 yearling purchase by Brian Grassick Bloodstock, is the second stakes winner of 2011 by her sire following Group 2 Prix Maurice de Nieul scorer Watar.

Marju, a Group 1-winning son of Last Tycoon, stood for €15,000 in 2011.

Bred by Alan Dargan, Babycakes is a half-sister to two winners including dual Listed heroine Rosaleen (by Cadeaux Genereux). This family has worked well with Marju before since her dam, the unraced Darshaan mare Dark Rosaleen,is a half-sister to the stallion's Hong Kong Listed winner Man Of Honour.

Dark Rosaleen's yearling colt by Rock Of Gibraltar is catalogued as lot 41 in Book 1 of this year's Tattersalls October Sale.
