Second-season stud fee set for Sea The Stars

NEXT year’s stallion fees for the Aga Khan’s Studs have been set, with Sea The Stars remaining at €85,000 per cover and Dalakhani’s fee reduced by 30 per cent.

Dalakhani, whose year has included Chinese White’s Group 1 win in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh and Duncan’s Prix Foy victory, has had his fee cut to €35,000 from €50,000, while fellow Gilltown Stud resident Azamour will again command €15,000.

At Haras de Bonneval, Sinndar will be offered for €9,500, down
by 24 per cent from €12,500, and Siyouni will start his stallion
career at €7,000.

Sinndar’s star performer Youmzain was denied by the
smallest of margins in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and was third in the King George, before finally bowing out in the Arc.

Sinndar’s daughter Rosanara was second to Sarafina in the Prix de Diane and another filly, Valasyra, took the Group 3 Prix de Flore.

Siyouni’s biggest success was his Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere win
last season, following a juvenile campaign that yielded four wins and two seconds from six starts.

The son of Pivotal failed to get his head in front at three, but finished second to Dick Turpin in the Prix Jean Prat and was beaten two heads into third in the Prix du Moulin.
