Three Group winners in a day for Dubawi

ASTROPHYSICAL JET took the Dubai Airport World Trophy under Graham Gibbons for trainer Ed McMahon, her second straight victory at Group 3 level.

The daughter of Dubawi, bred at Grangecon Stud, saw-offthe Peter Makin-trained Golden Destiny by half a length.

Bought for 42,000gns in Tattersalls October Sales, the fourth daughter of Rainbow Quest mare Common Knowledge is half-sister to Coin Of The Realm, a dual 1m4f winner at three and four.

Her unraced dam is half-sister to high-class middle-distance performers Blueprint and Fairy Godmother.

Astrophysical Jet brought up a hat-trick of Group 3 winners for Dubawi on Saturday. She was joined by Prix du Prince d'Orange winner Prince Bishop and Firth Of Clyde Stakes winner Majestic Dubawi.

Dubawi also sired Havane Smoker, the runner-up to French Navy in the Group 3 Prix des Chenes at Longchamp. French Navy is by Dubawi's fellow Darley sire and second-season stallion Shamardal.
