Arqana adds wildcards to breeding-stock sale

ARQANA has added two wildcard entries to its breeding-stock sale, held at Deauville from December 8-11.

Mountain Rose becomes lot 120. She is a five-year-old daughter of Tiger Hill - damsire of this season's German Oaks winner Salomina - and the Sadler's Wells mare Montfleur, making her a half-sister to Group 1 Doomben Cup winner Mawingo.

Mountain Rose finished fourth in a Cologne Listed contest at three. She will be offered at Deauville by the Haras du Logis, in foal to Elusive City.

The Coulonce Consignment will offer the other supplementary entry, Spin, who was a close second to Banimpire in the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes last year.

Spin, who sells as lot 140, is by Galileo and out of the Seattle Slew mare Pieds De Plume, a half-sister to Groom Dancer who has also produced stakes winners Fermion, Hearthstead Maison, Rave Reviews and Sail.

Spin is offered in foal to Australian champion sire Fastnet Rock.
