Agent Charlie Gordon-Watson secured the Selkirk filly with Paddy Twomey coming off underbidder. Agents Anthony Stroud, Tom Goff and Michael Donohoe also tried for her as did Richard Kent of Shropshire-based Mickley Stud.
"She is going to back to Sir Mark for a partnership of some old clients and is going to run in a Listed race at Cagnes-sur-Mer on February 28," said Gordon-Watson. "The plan is to cover her this year but we thought that we should try to get some black-type while she was in such good form. There are plenty of stallion options for her, being by Selkirk out of a Linamix mare."
The new owners of Shadwell home-bred Tameen, a granddaughter of 1,000 Guineas winner Mehthaaf, are also hoping to get a pedigree boost in the coming months after the Shirocco filly was bought for 80,000gns by trainer Ed Dunlop.
The four-year-old was beaten less than two lengths into fourth in a Doncaster Listed race in November when trained by Dunlop's father John.
