WEAPON'S AMNESTY'S success in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle was a second Grade 1 victory at the 2009 Festivalfor leading jumps sire Presenting, taking him to the head of the leading sire's table for the meeting.

The Giggingstown Stud-owned six-year-old was bought by Mags O'Toole for 74,000gns on behalf of Gigginstown House Stud at the Doncaster Breeze-Up Sale in 2006, when it was held at Cheltenham.

O'Toole had also bought the horse for 24,000gns at the Doncaster Spring Sale the previous year.

The first time the horse went through a sales ring was at the Tattersalls November Sale as a foal, when he fetched €11,500 and was bought by Graigue Stud. He was bred by Aaron Metcalfe.

He is the first foal out of the Old Vic mare Victoria Theatre. She was unraced and is out of the unraced mare Matinee Theatre. However she is a half-sister to the dam of Augherskea, winner of the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at Punchestown as well as the Grade 1 Touche Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown.
