Americain: Prix de Reaux scorer is the seventh stakes winner of 2011 for Dynaformer

Americain continues Dynaformer's good run

AMERICAIN, one of 20 Group/Grade 1 winners by Three Chimneys Farm's Dynaformer, got back to winning ways on Tuesday when successful in the Listed Prix de Reux at Deauville.

In the process, the Alain de Royer-Dupre-trained six-year-old became the seventh stakes winner of 2011 by his sire. Others include dual Classic winnerBlue Bunting, last week's Lillie Langtry Stakes heroine Meeznah and Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes winner Brilliant Speed.

Dynaformer stood the past season at Three Chimneys Farm in Kentucky for $150,000. The Grade 2-winning son of Robertowill turn 27-years-old next year but is likely to remain in service, albeit at a restricted level.

Bred by Wertheimer et Frere, Americain was purchased privately prior to his victory in last year's Melbourne Cup by Australian-born andIrish-based agent David Medbury on behalf of Gerry Ryan and Kevin Bamford.

He is the best foal out of the Arazi mare America, winner of the Group 2 Prix de Malleret. America's other foals include stakes-placed pair Amarak and Spycrawler.

America - a FFr2.3m yearling buy - is a half-sister to Group 2 Prix du Conseil de Paris winner and Group 1-placed Majorien, and to Listed Hopeful Stakes scorer Rose Indien, grand-dam of  Superlative Stakes winner Silver Grecian.

America has a filly foal by Monsun named Australienne.
