Trio dispute leading first-season sire favouritism

BOOKMAKERS Paddy Power and Boylesports have priced up the 2011 first-season sires market, with the head of the betting disputed by Middle Park winner Amadeus Wolf, Coventry Stakes winner Red Clubs and Dark Angel, the Middle Park-winning son of former champion freshman Acclamation.

Paddy Power said: “It’s the first time we’ve done this and it’s due to people ringing up asking for prices. The breeding world is closely connected to the racing world and I’m sure there will be plenty of side bets on it.

“It’s something there is a lot of talk about so it’s only right that you are able to bet on it. It will be a bit of fun for some people, and quite serious for others.”
