Emirates Park's stallion fees held at 2008 levels

EMIRATES PARK in Australia has announced its stallion fees for 2009 bucking the trend that most studs have followed this year by setting keeping its fees for its established stallions at 2008 levels.

Al Maher, currently in fourth in the first-season sires' list courtesy of the Group 3 winner  Majestic Music, and Danewin, whose headlinerunner this season is the A$2 million prize-money earner Theseo, are to stand at A$38,000 and A$22,000.

Al Samer, whose first crop are now yearlings, has been held at A$11,000, while the stud's Storm Cat stallion, Old Deuteromony, whoretired to stud in 2008, is to stand at A$5,500.

The stud's new sire, the homebred Mutawaajid, a son of Redoute's Choice and a dual Group 2 winner, is to stand at A$15,000, while the new import Eavesdropper, a half-brother to A.P. Indy who has been based for five seasons at Walmac Farm in Pennsylvania,  will cover his first Australian local book of mares at a fee of $7,000 plus 10% GST.
