Seventh Eclipse breeder award for Adena Springs

FRANK STRONACH'S Adena Springs operation was on Monday night awarded its seventh Eclipse award for leeding breeder in North America.

Adena ended the 2010 season as leading individual breeder by prize-money in North America for the eighth consecutive year.

The nursery bred 506 winners with earnings of $13,369,852, highlighted by Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes winner Stately Victor.

Adena Springs was founded in Kentucky by Stronach in 1989. It now stands stallions in Kentucky, New York and California, as well as in Canada.

Adena received 69 first-place votes for the award, with Blame's breeders Claiborne and Adele Dilschneider in second with 55.
