Lane's End releases
its fees for 2009
LANE'S END FARM has set its fees for 2009 with the prices for its leading stallions AP Indy,Kingmambo and Smart Strike, the sire of Curlin, unchanged from 2008's levels at $300,000, $250,000 and $150,000.
The 2007 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner War Pass, a son of Cheroke Run, is to stand his first season at $30,000. He was retired from racing in September due to a fractured seasmoid.
A number of stallions have been reduced including Dixieland Band whose fee has fallen from $50,000 to $30,000, Dixie Union now stands at $40,000 from $50,000 while Rock Hard Ten has had his fee reduced by $10,000 to $40,000.
Mineshaft has received the biggest reduction with his fee almost being slashed in half from $75,000 to $40,000.
Lemon Drop Kid is the only stallion to have been given a price increase for 2009: his fee has risen by $15,000 from $35,000 to $50,000.
